Anyone can learn to cold call with confidence, and I am living proof of that. I am an ordinary solopreneur, not a slick salesperson who has sold millions of dollars worth of products or services. Initially I was in the business of confidence and self esteem for women and I helped other solopreneurs to remove the self imposed barriers that impacted on their small business success, but it was pretty crowded marketplace and it was difficult to stand out.
But I had realised early on that in order to reach my potential clients I needed to be able to make cold calls with enough confidence to be believeable. It was also necessary to call without too much fear because I knew that I would not be able to force myself to make those calls for very long if I felt afraid. So, I used my own energy based techniques on my cold calling fears, educated myself on the art of trust based selling and the Call Reluctance Queen was born.
